Welcome to Hadji Valcheviya Han in Zheravna.
Han means inn in Bulgarian. It is not known exactly when it was built. It is known that at the end of the 18th c. it burned down and was rebuilt by Master Radil in 1834.
In 1871, Vasil Levski and Angel Kanchev spent the night in the inn. Levski gave a speech in front of the young people of Zheravna. Later, the same young people took part in the April Uprising with the the Stoil voivode detachment and in the battles on Mount Shipka in 1877.
The building was mainly restored at the end of the 80s of the last century, and at the beginning of the current century it was converted into a guest house, adding private bathroom facilities to the rooms and built the kitchen to the hall on the ground floor.

On the first floor of the Han there is a hall with a fireplace, maximum capacity of 40 seats.
In the yard there is a shed with several tables and a covered oven (barbecue), where there is also a table for several people and a TV.
We offer few in number, but with proven taste, dishes made from first-class products - soups, ala minuti, grill... Of course, we also have a wide assortment of drinks and the highlight - dozens of types of beer.
The Han is a maximum of 5 minutes' walk from all sights in Zheravna - the houses-museums of Yordan Yovkov, Sava Filaretov and Rusi Chorbadji, from Hristo Todorov Gallery and St. Nicholas Church. The village of Zheravna itself is an architectural reserve with over 200 preserved and state-protected wooden houses from the Bulgarian Renaissance.
Only 15 kilometers away are the town of Kotel and the village of Medven, which also have a lot to see - The Pantheon of Georgi Ràkovski, the Museum of Natural History, the Sinia Vir waterfall and others. The nearby village of Katunishte (8 km) is also of interest with its old houses.
For mountain lovers, there are marked eco-trails of varying difficulty and length. The most preferred among them is the one to the hill "Vetrila", from where you can see a great view of the Kotel valley.
Hadzhi Valchevia Han guest house is located on the main tourist street in Zheravna, near the bus stop and the house-museum "Sava Filaretov".
The easiest way to get to the house is from the asphalted square where the bus stop is. From the northern end of the square, take the street to the northwest and after about 90 meters, at the T-junction, the house is in front of you.
If you are staying with us overnight, you can park next to the house's door, there is room for several cars.
